Music Scholarship Program:
Funding for Low-Income

-
The Heart of the Scholarship Program
-
There are moments in life when a parent’s deepest wish—to see their child thrive in music, to watch them discover a lifelong skill that enriches their soul—collides painfully with financial reality. When $100 a month for lessons feels impossible, that dream can begin to slip away. I understand that heartbreak intimately. Years ago, as a single mother working two jobs, I struggled to afford even a modest two-bedroom apartment, let alone music lessons for my son.
-
During that time, angels in my community stepped forward—some quietly, some collectively—to lift me up when I needed it most. Their kindness changed the course of my life, and I made a promise: I would pay that generosity forward for as long as I am able.
-
After letting this scholarship program rest for a few years, I’m bringing it back stronger than ever. For at least the next two years—and hopefully much longer—I will be offering two students at a time six months of free tuition, rotating to new recipients so that the gift continues to ripple outward.

This program is designed for families who are doing everything they can but still find lessons out of reach. If this describes your situation, please know that you are seen, understood, and encouraged to apply.
-
Every part of the process—from application to student essays and participation—is 100% confidential.
-
Thank you for being part of my journey here in Artesia and for supporting this mission of hope, music, and community.
-
To extend the reach of this program, I am also opening donations to the scholarship fund. Every dollar goes directly to the students—covering instruments, music books, supplies, and other essentials.
